Alone at School By Emma Kieran Schaefer Today I felt alone at school, my classmates called me names. They laughed at me and left me out at recess from their games. When I went home I cried in bed, and thought about my day. My parents hugged me tight and this is what they had to say: “Sometimes people forget that they are God’s brilliant reflection. It seems they act in ways that don’t express their true perfection. Reminding them what kindness is, is something you can do. And help them understand they can express God’s goodness too.” In the hall at school a boy was teasing me today. I told him I was sure he had much nicer things to say. He looked at me confused but then I saw him start to smile. He said he wanted to be friends sorry it took a while. Sometimes people forget that they are God’s brilliant reflection. Today at lunch a girl named Kate tripped over her chair.
